This privacy notice only covers how we collect and use your personal data. There may be instances where our website links to other websites which aren’t under our control (for example, newspapers websites). What information we need and when we collect it
We collect personal information from you when you fill out one of our forms (for example to subscribe to our mailing list), submit work to Rundale, or send us any correspondence. Depending on why you provide us with your information, the following may be collected: your name, email address. When collecting your personal data, we will only ever ask for the information we need for that specific purpose.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Who we share your data with
When you provide us with your personal details we will use this information to provide the services you require. Access to the information which you have provided will be limited to authorised members of Rundale. The information you provide is used to deliver our services to you and we work in collaboration with a few selected external organisations to help us process your data. For example, we use WordPress for our website and our subscription form is through WP Forms. Without these external organisations we would be unable to produce Rundale.
All third parties we work with to help us process your information work in line with our expectations and have agreements with us that include details of how they keep your data secure. This includes not exchanging, selling or renting your personal information. As the Data Controller we only use trusted third parties to help us to provide our service to you, and we have checked their Data Protection/GDPR compliance to ensure that we are happy to share your data – you can review the relevant privacy policies too:

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you subscribe to Rundale, we store the personal information you provide in your subscription form. You can withdraw your consent to receiving Rundale news and information at any time by unsubscribing through the relevant link located at the bottom of every email communication, or by emailing us directly at hello@rundale.org.
What rights you have over your data
